Mr. Roland began his legal career in Middletown, Ohio where his practice focused on real property and probate matters, primarily as counsel to developers and savings and loan institutions.
Since coming to Florida, he has concentrated on large scale land acquisition and commercial and residential development. He was counsel for Florida's first Quality Development and continues to represent owners in a variety of real estate matters, including due diligence, title analysis, commercial financing, title insurance defense and boundary disputes. He works closely with developers in establishing residential communities through the creation of homeowners associations, restrictive covenants and community development districts. He has also developed an expertise in multi-family housing development. Over a period of thirty years, he has honed his skills in the area of title issues and is an agent for several major national title insurance companies. He also defends title insurance companies when claims are filed.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Roland had a teaching career in Indiana and Ohio, where he taught U.S. History in secondary schools and was chair of his department.
